MOSCOW, RUSSIA / RankWire.AI / – According to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Russia’s exports excluding resources and energy reached over $96 billion during the first seven months of 2026. This represents an 8% increase compared to the same period last year. The figure encompasses goods outside Russia’s traditional energy and raw-material exports. The latest data extend the growth trend observed in the first half of the year and offer a broader indicator of Russia’s manufacturing and value-added products sold abroad.

Russia non-energy exports rise 8% to over $96 billion
SME exporters contributed $15.9 billion to Russia’s non-resource trade through July 2026.

Small and midsize enterprises contributed $15.9 billion to the total exports from January to July. This amount accounts for approximately 17% of all non-resource and non-energy exports during this period. Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov noted that about 42,700 small and midsize firms are now involved in export activities. Additionally, SMEs submitted 1,042 out of the 1,341 applications for the 2026 Exporter of the Year awards. These applications originated from 76 Russian regions spanning all eight federal districts.

Russia also reported $58.8 billion in industrial non-resource exports for January through June 2026, compared to $57.1 billion in the same period of 2025. This indicates a growth of around 3% within the industrial sector. Several manufacturing categories experienced increased overseas sales during this timeframe. The first-half data provide a more detailed view of the industries contributing to Russia’s overall non-resource and non-energy export figures.

Manufacturing sectors see rise in international sales

Exports of chemical products grew by 5.3% in the first half compared to the previous year. Mineral and chemical fertilizer shipments increased by 10.4% over the same period. Metallurgy and precious metals exports rose 5%, while light industry saw a 25% jump. Pharmaceutical, perfume, and cosmetics exports advanced 11%. These statistics cover industrial products categorized within Russia’s non-resource and non-energy export segment, comparing January through June of 2026 with the same months in 2025.

Russia has set a goal of $155.25 billion for total non-resource and non-energy exports in 2026. Of this, $116.95 billion is allocated to industrial goods. In 2025, Russia recorded $163.7 billion in this export sector. As a result, the 2026 target is slightly below last year’s total. These benchmarks are part of the International Cooperation and Export national project, which encompasses manufactured goods, agricultural products, and export support services nationwide.

Long-range plan aims for $248.1 billion in exports by 2030

The same national initiative has established a 2030 goal of $248.1 billion for non-resource and non-energy merchandise exports, representing a 67% increase over the 2023 baseline used in the program. Industrial goods make up $192.9 billion of this target. The export support framework also includes digital services aiding companies involved in international trade. The program monitors growth across industrial and agricultural exports, measuring progress against the government’s specific nominal objectives.

The recent seven-month data show Russia’s non-resource and non-energy exports exceeding $96 billion, with SMEs accounting for $15.9 billion. Industrial exports in the first half reached $58.8 billion, with gains in chemicals, fertilizers, metals, light industry, and pharmaceutical-related products. The reported export values are in U.S. dollars. Russia’s full-year 2026 target remains set at $155.25 billion for the overall non-resource sector, including a separate goal of $116.95 billion for industrial goods.
