The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) announced the return of “The Sound & Light Show” to Bahrain Fort on Thursdays and Fridays starting February 24. There will be an English show between 6:00 and 6:30 pm, followed by an Arabic show between 7:00 and 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at Bahrain Fort Museum.

Bahrain Fort to host biweekly sound and light showsBahrain’s civilizations are narrated through an audiovisual performance that adds an aesthetic dimension to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, providing an insight into Bahrain’s history. BACA will celebrate Bahrain’s diverse cultural and civilizational achievements throughout 2022.

Shows will illuminate the golden achievements propelling the Kingdom’s cultural movement and its sustainable infrastructure, thus the slogan of the year, “Golden Jubilee”. The BACA will revisit prominent projects and sites embraced within the Kingdom, including museums, visitor centers, information centers, castles, historic homes and sites deemed to be World Heritage Sites.

Among the most prominent sites are Qal’at al-Bahrain, the Pearling Path, and the Dilmun Burial Mounds. There will be a celebration of 50 books published by the Knowledge Transfer Project, all of which are among the most important literary works ever produced by civilization, translated for the first time into Arabic.
